Elections

We're one week away from January 19th. On Jan. 19th, I'll do two things:

I'll vote in the SC Republican Primary
and
I'll turn 39

As for the primary, I'm still torn between Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee. I lean towards Huck, because of his Christian values, I lean towards Paul, because he's pretty much a Libertarian.

I'll probably go for Huck, because polls show he's the better chance right now.

On being 39. I'll wait till it happens before I say anything.

Being Chosen

I just found out that some friends from church may be considering adopting. They've three great kids already [just click on the link].

As an adoptee I want to chime in on subject. I love adoption. I was chosen at three days old. Likewise God has chosen us. We can simply ask for His forgiveness of our sins through His Son who died for us.

Then we are adopted by God.

I know that's a bit of an oversimplification of the Gospel, but the Gospel is simple
We mess up, Jesus loves us anyway.

I'm a leader now. So where're we going?

At my church I became a table/small group leader in our singles ministry. I'm not a "natural leader" but, I also know that it's finally time that I get my butt out of my comfort zone, so I need to rely on God and not me.

Someone once said "God doesn't call the equipped, He equips the called." I like that. I need Him to do that.

On another note, I'm home sick today. I started getting a cold a week or so ago and I left work yesterday. I kept putting customers on hold so I could cough, so I arranged to leave after lunch, and to take today off. I hope I can make it back tomorrow.

Cough cough

I've a minor chest cold and it's causing me to cough so much my sides hurt.

Maybe it'll help me lose weight.

Call Center Humor

I work in a call center, that has outsourced to India. I thought this was great.

Mustaffa applied for a job at a call center for an Amercian company that had outsourced to New Delhi. After taking and passing the tests and the interviews he went into the office for one final interview and test.

"Mustaffa, in order to work here, you must pass one final test. Use the words yellow, pink and green in a sentence."

Mustaffa thought for a moment and said "When the phone goes 'green, green' I pink it up, and say 'Yellow, this is Mustaffa'"

Ha!!!

2008

Today is the 2nd day of 2008. I'm making my New Year Resolutions:

Get a girlfriend
Gain weight.

Become a small group leader in my church

Start a new job
Get a girlfriend
Become what God wants me to be.
Get a girlfriend
Exercise more
Get a girlfriend
Get my DTM in Toastmasters
Get a girlfriend

Well that's about it...anyone know any single women?
