I don't know how much traffic my blog and FB notes get but for those of you that know Jesus, please pray for my mom.
About two weeks ago, my mom went to the doctor. She discovered she has a leaky heart valve. It was deemed not to be a big deal, but they wanted a closer look. So last Thursday--March 5th--they ran some tests, and all appeared to be fine.
However, from what I've come to understand some of the test results just came back. All MAY not be well. They don't much just yet, but that leaky valve may be worse than they thought. We'll know more later, but please pray.
I don't intend to sound unapprecative here, but "positive thoughts" are not what's needed. We can say the glass is half full all we want, but the fact remains it's still just half a glass. In other words, positive thoughts don't change facts. However, we have a mighty, mighty God that is in charge of the facts. Therefore, mom [and I and dad, and my sister, my 10 year old niece Sarah and my brother in law as well as a few others] need GOD not just some powerless warm fuzzies.
I am a 40 man who's never married. I want my mom to be at my wedding and hold any grandbabies I bring her way. Right now, I don't even have a girlfriend, much less a prospect of getting married. And her only grandchild is 10 and is to big for Gran'ma to change diapers and rock.
I am currently unemployed, I want mom to be the first person I call when I get a new job.
I also want her to be there if/when I ever win the World Champinship of Public Speaking in Toastmasters. Next month I go to state, so that World thing's gotta awhile. What all this means is that I need mom to stick around for some time.
A few years ago, I broke my ankle. Dad took care of me for about a week, but as only Mom could come up and get her "little boy" and take care of him. She came up and took me to her home in GA the day after my surgery. I stayed w/ her for a month. This 40 year old boy needs his Mom y'all.
Please PRAY. Postive thoughts etc are nice but only God can heal.
