Yesterday, as I was going to Northwoods Mall to make a return, dad called me. He was at that same mall and needed me to come get him. His car had been stolen.
That ticks me off. Why is it that dad has to drive an older car around and can't afford a new one,, yet there is some piece of trash out there that woke up yesterday and thought to himself "I need to take what someone else has worked for. I am entitled to it."
As of this point there is no word on the North Charleston Police finding the car. However, I will say that the responding officer could NOT have been more professional. She was great. I hope the rest are like her.
That was the bad news.
Now for the good, no make that GREAT news.
About three years ago, two punks knocked on my sister's door, shot her husband in the arm [yes he's ok now] tied them up then went and dragged my niece [6 at the time] out of her bedroom and tied her up too. They then took as much of my sister's stuff as they could haul off. Including my brother in law's car. Two weeks or so later, these same punks robbed two restaurants and were caught. They still had my sister's things in the car so the connection was made.
That said they've now been given 7 life sentences in the state of GA. The reason for 7 is b/c when they made my niece move out of her bedroom and into the hallway, they became guilty of kidnapping. They did the same thing when they robbed the restaurants. The restaurants were closed, but they made the staff move around, so each one became another kidnapping charge.
Here's the great part. The punks have whined about their sentence being "too harsh" [like shooting my brother in law and tying up my niece was just a real pleasant thing for them to do] so they just appealed.
The same day that dad's car was stolen from Northwoods Mall here in North Charleston SC, the punks were turned down for their first appeal.
YES!!!!! I hope they NEVER see the light of day.
