After All These Months

I'm somtimes angry.

I've always had an issue with criminals. I don't like them too much. I'm not talking about someone that goes 60 in a 55 zone. I'm talking about real criminals. I used to work at a call center for National and Alamo Car Rentals. I was laid off when another company--who shall remain nameless, but let's just say that that they are an ENTERPRISing Rent-A-Car company, bought us out.

Anyhoo, I worked in the customer service dept. I once took a call from an very angry man that DEMANDED to know why his bill was so high. The reason: The car had been towed and impounded. There were no notes as to why, just that it had been. He then volueteered that he knew about that. He told me that "my rights were violated" when he was caught with some marijuana. In other words, this blithering idiot thinks that he has a right to do a doobie and do said doobie in our car and then not have to pay the pipe...Ooops, I mean the piper.

I bring that up, not because that's what I'm angry at, but because of my severe distate for criminal scum.

Almost 2 years ago, my sister and her family were victims of home invasion. The crooks shot my brother in law in the arm, tied up the family and since they made my niece move from the bedroom closet, where she was hiding, to the hallway they added a kidnapping charge. The next week, They robbed two resteraunts. Here's how this stacks up:

They were caught hours after robbing the resteraurnts. About a year later they went to trial. They were found guilty and they face 7 life time sentences in jail PLUS over 200 years. The reason it is so long is because kidnapping is automatically a life time sentence and when they robbed my sister, they made my neice--6 years old at the time--move to the hall way. They also made the 7 employees at the two restarunts move around and each one of those became a kidnapping charge. Add those to the robbery, assualt etc. and it's pretty serious stuff.

Here's why I'm rehashing this. These punks have defenders. They've people trying to say that these poor guys just made a mistake and now they've no chance to ever contribute to society.

I say that's just too bad. You don't want to go to jail, do NOT do anything stupid.

I personally, hope that not only do they never see the light of day, but I even hope that they...let's just say drop the soap in the shower.

Is that very Christian? No it isn't. But that's what I need to work on.
